Send to Kindle

The Send-to-Kindle feature enables users to send Darkblock encrypted assets to their Kindle device and/or apps.

Supported File Types:

EPUB (.EPUB)
PDF (.PDF)
Microsoft Word (.DOC, .DOCX)
RTF (.RTF)
Text (.TXT)
Images (.JPG, .JPEG, .GIF, .PNG, .BMP)

How does it work?

There are two ways a user can send an encrypted asset to their Kindle device and/or app:

Share to Kindle mobile app

This method works on mobile devices that have the Kindle app installed. The user can send the file to the app by selecting the "Share to Kindle mobile app" or by scanning a QR-code provide when on a desktop device.

Send to Kindle via email

Users can also have the encrypted asset sent to their Kindle devices and/or apps via email by connecting their Kindle email. To enable this they must first perform a one-time process, where they add the darkblock EPUB email sender address to their Approved Personal Document E-mail List in the and then providing their Kindle email so they can receive the file.

Note

On the Darkblock app, for the "Share to Kindle mobile app" method to be available, the creator must make the asset downloadable when it is created.
